...SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM EXPECTED TUESDAY...
.Low pressure will deepen along the coast of northern New England
early Tuesday morning. Cold air in place will allow snow to
develop and overspread the region. The heaviest snows will be
over southern and central New Hampshire and portions of interior
western Maine during the day Tuesday. Snow is expected to
transition to sleet, freezing rain, and eventually rain for areas
near the coast. This will limit total snowfall amounts there.
...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM EST TUESDAY
THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Plan on difficult travel
conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday.
Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches, with localized
amounts up to 10 inches, are possible.
* WHERE...Portions of, central, northern and southern New
Hampshire and south central, west central and western Maine.
* WHEN...From 1 AM EST Tuesday through late Tuesday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant reductions in visibility are
possible.
